Karl Lagerfeld who reportedly does not like being touched, actually has a pet of his own named Choupette. Choupette lives a modern day Marie Antoinette life, with two personal maids, iPad and a 600 thread count buckwheat king size pillow. Choupette portrays the softer, perhaps maybe even nurturing side of Chanel’s mega-mogul designer Karl Lagerfeld; which is lost beneath layers of makeup, powdered pony-tailed hair, large dark glasses, ludicrous outfits and shiny black leather mittens.
The siamese kitten was stolen from Baptiste Giabiconi the highest paid male model, who had Lagerfeld cat sit for him 2 weeks during a winter holiday. He then exused himself by saying ” I refused to give her back I thought she was too cute”. He boastfully describes his daughter’s behavior adding that “She is like a kept woman. She has a strong personality. She has lunch and dinner with me on the table, with her own food. She doesn’t touch my food. She doesn’t want to eat on the floor. She sleeps under a pillow and she even knows how to use an iPad. “
Thats not all, Choupette has a diary as Lagerfeld explains, “When I am not there, the maids take down, in little books, everything she did, from what she ate to how she behaved, if she was tired and if she wasn’t sleeping,”.
